The ballroom has been a supportive community for my daughter. The people that work there and the owner have been exceptional in the love and friendship they have provided to my daughter. I grew up around Old Tyme dance and have always been a lover of music and I am so happy my daughter Rachel can share in this love of music and community.

I am NOT a dancer but quickly learned the basics of the Tango and Cha Cha with Matthew! It was so fun and the time flew. I'm rather sad that I don't live in Duluth to get more lessons. Highly recommend!

A fabulous intro class with Reef who made me feel instantly at ease. He was charming and professional, but engaged and attentive to me and my instruction and questions in a room full of people; never felt less than one on one. The whole group, from staff to students, was very welcoming and the vibe was fun and energetic. Definitely recommend for newbies or former dancers like myself.

a few years ago a friend's husband made the comment "those two can't even walk and they're learning how to dance?" we sure did learn how to dance , wasn't necessarily pretty or fancy but we were able to dance at my wife's daughter's wedding because of the lessons we got at Superior ballroom dance studioThe dancing is just exquisite.

Superior Ballroom is the best place to be at if you want a new hobby or interest. This place brings much more then just learning to dance. It brings friendship, confidence, love, learning, professionalism, and family. Once your part of the Superior Ballroom, you will always be part of the ballroom! I have enjoyed their outstanding goals they have for each and every student, shows, galas, interactions with other students and staff, master classes, dance party's, and all of my lessons. This place... does a outstanding job for their students. Before my experience I just wanted to learn to dance graceful. I definitely learned more than that. When my husband and I got engaged, neither of us could dance, and we thought it was going to be a lost cause trying to learn. But, we agreed it would be fun to try something completely out of both of our comfort zones. With private lessons, group classes, and encouragement from the experienced instructors and fellow students at Superior Ballroom Dance, we were able to have a very fun and memorable first dance at our wedding, and have even learned a few moves for other social events. I started coming here because my fiancé (now husband) really wanted a dance at our wedding and I did not. I had never danced before so the only way I was going to say "ok" to having a dance was to take lessons. After research in the Duluth area for places to get wedding dance lessons we came across the Superior Ballroom! What was great about taking lessons is that we not only learned a choreographed dance for the wedding, but we also learned how to social dance and be comfortable when doing it.... Now I love dancing and so does my husband! It's something that is a lot of fun for us to do together. We had Ben and Rae as our dance instructors and they did a phenomenal job! We get so many compliments when we dance together. We highly recommend coming here if you are wanting to learn how to dance or how to become better.

Loved the Salsa practice night! We need more Salsa in the Twinports! Fabulous energy and great step-by-step instructions!! The Samba line dance was awesome! Que bueno bailando!! Vive Superior Ballroom! Eso!!!

Every single person we have interacted with- instructors, students, the owner- have treated us like family and made us feel so welcome! My fiance and I are complete beginners and have no experience with dancing, so we expected it to be difficult and intimidating. We could not have been more wrong! May is our instructor and is so encouraging and fun to be around. She helps us to laugh and enjoy the process, and really breaks it down to our level while building our confidence. It is such an... encouraging and happy atmosphere with zero judgment whatsoever. I'm so thankful that we found Superior Ballroom Dance... it is a wonderful experience for us as individuals and as couple. We will definitely continue this experience far beyond our wedding.read more
